Inauguration Speech by Rebekah

My fellow people.

I would like to thank you all for being here today and for electing the first Hispanic woman. I would also like to thank former president Barack Obama for his 12 years of service. 45 Americans [1 African American] have taken the presidential oath. The words have been spoken through peace and prosperity amidst gathering clouds and raging storms. However America has carried on simply because we have remained faithful to the ideals of our fore bearers and to our still existing documents.

The United States is at war, our economy is badly weakened. Homes have been lost. Healthcare is expensive, teachers have been laid off; everyday brings more and more evidence that how we use energy strengthens adversaries and threatens our planet.

I tell you all today, that the obstacles we face are real. We must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and start rebuilding America!

Thank You!
